Series Mantels) This "Plug 'N Play" electric fireplace produces energy efficient heat, installs in minutes, requires no professional installation, additional venting or permits. Not to mention, this fireplace is environmentally friendly and plugs into any standard 120 volt outlet. The fireplace effect may be used with or without heat for year-round enjoyment. You do not want to seal this unit within a permanent structure like an actual fireplace or wall cut out. Access to parts like light bulbs is through the back of this unit. If you plan to seal this unit in a permanent structure, you may want to consider an alternative electric fireplace insert called a "Built-In" or "Builders Box" which provides maintenance access through a fold down front panel.
