Installation includes mounting it into a permanent wall framing structure or cabinetry that does not permit future access to the back of the fireplace for maintenance.

Built-in electric fireplace produces energy efficient heat,  is environmentally friendly. 

The fireplace effect may be used with or without heat for year-round enjoyment.


Unlike the Mantel insert, the Built-In ...

- Should be hardwired into a home's electrical system.
- Should be installed by a contractor or electrician.
- Includes a flip down front panel for easy access to service the unit through the front only.
- Requires separate purchase of thermostat.
- Offers two heat output functions: 4,600 BTUs (heats 400 square feet) or 9,200 BTU s (800+ square feet).
- Has a 3-prong plug to be hard-wired in 120v or 240v outlet.

The Built-In electric fireplace insert is more expensive than the Mantel Insert, but don't make the mistake of cutting corners. If you plan to seal the Mantel Insert in a permanent structure, you will not be able to gain access to the back of the Mantel Insert when its time to service the unit. The Mantel Insert can only be serviced through the back. The Built-In is serviced through the front via a flip down front panel.
