Moravians Call for Unity in Principles and Improvements in Procedures and Leadership as they invite other Congregations and their Synod delegates to join  them in preparations for Synod 2006
(February 18, 2006)

Like many congregations, Christ the King Moravian Church is prayerfully
preparing for Synod 2006. We see this Synod as a critical opportunity for the Southern Province to come together in unity to affirm important principles of the Christian faith, and to strive for improvements in procedures and leadership. We
see a great need for such changes and affirmations in light of events since Synod 2002.

The letter of Feb. 18, 2005, from the Board of Elders and the
Denominational Relations Committee of Christ the King Moravian
Church, represents one component of our outreach to brothers and sisters
in other congregations in our province. We seek to open communication to learn about and share hopes and concerns as well as work together to prepare for Synod 2006, so that we may prayerfully and conscientiously work for renewal within our province.
