The Vented version of "The Evans" grate. Each unit comes fully assembled and tested by our CSA Approved lab.  Specify regular or low cut grate when ordering. Order Burner and Basket separately

Optional cast iron summer cover fits in the arched cast iron surround above. Complete the authentic look by either setting the cover to the side of fireplace in the winter or install during the summer to conceal the coal basket.

The  vented  fire box is the beginning of  a complete fireplace where none existed before. Install with approved chimney, add coal basket, front and mantel

Rotary style valve is located below the burner, accessible behind the "ash cover" portion of the cast iron grate. This keeps the valve cool, allowing our gas coal basket to be installed into the tiniest of fireplaces.

The valve used on the gas coal basket is remote ready - you can add the remote control later but why wait? Enjoy the ability to raise and lower the flame - or turn the fire on and off - from any position in the room. Convenient
